Training and Education

International experience is becoming ever more important now that we are living in a world-wide economy. The programmes listed here are broadly intended for two different groups. On one hand they are to assist German professionals to get to know markets abroad, to acquire additional expertise and linguistic skills and thereby to extend their own professional perspectives. On the other these programmes have been devised for specialists and managers from developing countries, from Central and Eastern Europe and the former states of the Soviet Union. The aim is to provide participants with the skills needed to take the lead professionally and socially at home in their own countries and thus to contribute to the sustainable development of their nations.

Into the world

A new voluntary service in the field of development policy set up by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) provides young people the possibility to work voluntarily in the field of development assistance in developing countries. Dependent on the length of their attendance volunteers will get a financial compensation for a 6 to 24 months period.

Meeting the increasing request for commitment facilities in the field of development assistance abroad the working committee "Learning and Helping Overseas" ("Lernen und Helfen in Übersee") provides comprehensive information. The wide variety of information is supposed to encourage interested persons on dealing with questions of development assistance and cooperation abroad. Thus the information provided should facilitate the systematic search for individually apt commitment facilities in the field of development assistance abroad.
