Purpose/Activities:

The Auslandsgesellschaft Nord-Rhein-Westfalen e.V. is dedicated to international understanding in the spirit of humanity and tolerance and promotes its aims through

local working groups; the Auslandsinstitut with its regional districts

the Institut für Weiterbildung (further education) with its international educational centre in Willebadessen

the Institut für politische Bildung (political education)

the Institut für internationale Jugendbildung (youth education)

All these institutions maintain human, cultural and economic relations with partners from almost every nation around the globe.

Activities in detail:

30 bilateral 'circles' (with partners from Egypt to Hungary). Priority areas: western, northern, central, eastern and south-eastern Europe, Middle East, Far East

seminars, language courses and study trips and courses aiming to deepen participants' knowledge of foreign countries, cultures and languages

'German for Foreigners' language courses in North-Rhine Westphalia

youth exchange programmes and youth conferences/camps

lectures and exhibitions at home and abroad
