Purpose/Activities

Arbeitskreis Ausland für kulturelle Aufgaben (Working Committee for Cultural Issues Abroad; AKA) promotes cultural relations between Germany and other countries through

direct subsidising of cultural, educational and scientific symposia

supporting exchange programmes

furthering the communication and presentation of German culture, science and education abroad

funding institutions involved in the furthering of German culture, science and education abroad all around the world

funding and promoting publications that communicate understanding of and further contacts between the fields of economy, culture and science.

Actually the AKA plans to broaden its activities on the field of charitable functions, for instance in the field of emergency aid abroad.
