Purpose/ Activities

The Committee for Foreign Cultural and Education Policy is a subcommittee of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag. The Committee concerns itself with foreign cultural and educational policy. In the current 17. legislative period the committee comprises 9 members.

Working areas of the subcommittee comprise: intercultural relations and cultural intermediary organisations acting as agencies in the field of foreign cultural and education policy on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office, international agreements on the protection of cultural assets, that require the ratification of the German Bundestag.
