Purpose/Activities

'MEDIA Desks' and 'Antenne', the national information centres of the European film promotion programme MEDIA, offer help with all the questions, subjects and problems MEDIA deals with and with applying for funds for:

developing European cinema (feature) films and television films, documentaries, animation pictures and series as well as productions which use the new generation, production and transmission technologies (multi-media)

Distributors may receive subsidies for promoting a European film if they have successfully placed it in cinemas outside its country of origin.

MEDIA supports further-education measures in the fields of new technologies, management, script-writing and development of new formats.

There are MEDIA stalls at European and international cinema and television trade-fairs like those in Cannes, or the television fairs MipTV and MipCom.

Pilot projects are the digitalisation of audio-visual works and distribution channels.
