Purpose/Activities

 

The German Archaeological Institute (DAI) is an archeological research institution, that carries out archaeological excavations, expeditions and other archeology related projects in Germany and abroad. Research results are published in numerous books (currently over 60 titles per year).

The German Archaeological Institute

entertains special libraries and photo archives open to scientists from around the world,

is in touch with international scientific organisations and institutions,

 supports young archaeologists,

organises congresses, colloquia and guided tours.
