Purpose/Activities

In remembrance of the victims of National Socialist injustice, the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ) works to promote human rights understanding between peoples and its commitment to the survivors. It is thus an expression of the continuing political and moral responsibility of the state, industry and society for the wrongs committed in the name of National Socialism.

The foundation supports international projects in the following areas:

a critical examination of history,

working for human rights,

commitment to the victims of National Socialism.

Furthermore it awards scholarships for

pupil exchanges between Germany and Central and Eastern Europe,

young Jewish immigrants in Germany from the CIS states,

Roma in Eastern Europe who are studying in their home countries,

other stipendiary.

every year, the foundation runs a photography competition for project executing agencies, scholars and volunteers that have received financial support. The three best pictures award EUR 500 to each, a further ten receive EUR 250. It should illustrate in some special way encounters, personal gestures or the results and successes achieved through project wo
