Purpose/Activities

The German Catholic Mission Council is an association of all Catholic institutions and organisations in Germany that are active in international missionary work (missionary societies, missionary training schools, missionary orders and congregations, diocesan missionary offices).

The Mission Council co-ordinates the missionary activities of the Catholic church in Germany, trains German missionaries and journalists working with the missionary media.

In addition, the Council sees itself as a 'bridge' between the German Catholic church and the young Catholic churches in Asia, the Pacific, Africa and Latin America.
