Purpose/Activities

 

The 'Atlantic Bridge' association statutory pupose is to promote understanding of Germany in other countries, in particular in the United States and Canada as well as the other European countries - and vice versa - to contribute to friendship between Germany and these nations. The association also promotes professional and general public education at national and international level, in particular in the United States, in Canada and Europe. A third sector of actitivity is publishing and distributing information.

 

Activities in detail:

bilateral conferences and seminars for leaders of politics, business and industry, the media, the world of science and associations in the United States, Canada and Germany

annual German-American 'Young Leaders' Conferences (for age-group: 28-35)

two-week visiting/seminar programmes in Germany for young American journalists

German-studies seminars for American social-studies teachers who deal with the Holocaust in their classes

lecture and study tours of Germany and the States

annual European 'Young Leaders' Conferences (for age-group: 28-35)

promotion of school student exchanges
