Purpose/Activities

At present, there are 232 Academic Foreign Offices at German universities, in charge of international activities, i.e.:

coordination of university cooperation projects (information, contracting in cooperation with Deans and Departments, practical and administrative management)

consulting services to German students who wish to study abroad

care for and assistance to foreign students (including those on scholarships) in Germany

matriculation tests before the start of every term

holiday and language courses for foreign students
