European Training Foundation (ETF)

Purpose/Activities

 

The European Training Foundation (ETF) is an agency of the European Union based in Turin, Italy, that was established to contribute to the development of the education and training systems of the EU partner countries.

 

Its thematic areas embraces:

adult learning,

capacity building,

education and business partnership,

entrepreneurial learning,

equal access to vocational education and training,

ICT in learning,

key competences,

lifelong learning,

labour market needs and employability,

portability of skills,

school and teacher development,

skills development for poverty reduction.

 

It supports its partner countries in elaboration of reform concepts and to integrate it within the overall support framework provided by the EU. Therefore it organises seminars, facilitates study visits and focus groups to encourage reflection and debate.
