Culturelink Network

Purpose/Activities

 

Culturelink is a network for research and cooperation in cultural development and was established in 1989 at the Institute for International Relations (IMO) in Zagreb/Croatia by the UNESCO and the Council of Europe. It unites about 2,000 networks, organisations, scientists and professionals from more than 100 countries around the world, acting in the field of cultural policy, cultural management, cultural development, education and cooperation.

 

The issues of Culturelink contains:

collecting, regenerating and spreading of cultural information,

enhancing of communication between the members,

strengthening the international intercultural cooperation and the dialogue.

Culturelink organises together with its partners conferences and seminars in the field of culture and communication. It supports regional, interregional and international research projects and compiles academic studies in the field cultural policy, intercultural communication, cultural identity and the consequences of the cultural change.
