Scholarships for Students and Graduates from Abroad
Students of German Language and Literature Studies
Students from abroad can apply to the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) for a semester scholarship to support their studies in Germany.
Students and Graduates in other Subject Areas
Partial scholarships are available for advanced students and assistants to consolidate an already good or very good knowledge of German in a number of German universities. They are awarded by the DAAD. Please note that these partial scholarships will not cover all the costs involved.

Scholarships for Advanced Study Courses in Germany
The Goethe-Institutes offer intensive courses for German teachers who would like to enhance their German knowledge. Participants could apply under certain conditions for a scholarship.

Scholarships for Foreign Academics
Language Fellowships
Research fellows of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung (AvH) whose knowledge of German is insufficient could be granted a language fellowship of up to four months.
