For its professional music projects abroad, the Goethe Institute develops, organises and selects artists for concerts, master classes, workshops and symposia in virtually every music genre. Professional German musicians and ensembles can apply for a cooperation. In addition, the German Foreign Office provides a travel allowance through the Goethe Institute for concerts and short-term residencies abroad by professional musicians even if the Goethe Institute is not directly involved. The promotion is a key feature of cultural programme work of the Federal Foreign Office.
