IETM Spring Plenary Meeting

The meeting's theme will be "Trust". Who, after all, do we trust? As societies in Europe continue to change, whether it is due to recession, austerity cuts, revelations of clerical abuse or the rise of fascism, how do we, as citizens, trust those in authority? How do we as artists, curators, producers and cultural workers trust one another and the structures built to support our work? How do our audiences learn to trust us, to support the development of new types of work and models of presentation? How has the swift advance of technology changed the way we relate to one another? Has it impacted on our ability to trust one another? IETM welcomes to take part in three days of discussion and networking alongside an artistic programme which will offer the chance to meet artists making performance in Ireland today.

20th EUROCLIO Annual Conference - "Reflecting Remembrance"

Dabei werden neben Diskussionen, Präsaentationen und Workshops auch Staftführungen und sozial-kulturelle Programmpunkte stattfinden, um Kollegen international zu verbinden.

Wer politisch handelt und erfolgreich Kampagnen durchführen will, muss auch die neuen sozialen Medien beherrschen und wissen, wie man darin kreativ und strategisch kommuniziert.  Die Teilnehmer/innen werden sich gemeinsam mit den eingeladenen Expert/innen mit Werkzeugen, Trends, Chancen und Herausforderungen für den Aktivismus, den soziale Medien darstellen, beschäftigen.

We express our own individuality not only in the way we speak and behave, but also in terms of the environment in which we were raised and how we react to that environment. We learn and appropriate our culture through what we see, hear and experience, and we express our cultural understanding and beliefs through the way in which we speak and write. In addition to the two eminent keynote speakers, Professor Michael Byram and Jean-Claude Lasnier, there will be a number of other prominent and distinguished speakers who are specialists in the field of intercultural matters in language education.
